Complaint Review: Sherry Hill - Loyal Pups Asheboro NC

I only rated her a 2 because I love my dog. All her other reviews are people she is friends with due to the fact that they comment on Sherry and being social and not their actual dog buying experience. We got our Boxer (Kai) in May of 2016. We were told that on pick up he would be 7 weeks old. When we picked him up she changed it and said he was 6 weeks. She met us outside of a church, refused to let us meet his parents, and didn’t show us pictures of his mother. She originally stated that Hannah and Dexter were his parents (via her website) although later said something different. The puppy was 3.5 pounds when we took him to the vet and had severe worms and stomach problems from day 1. I called to tell her that our local veterinarian stated he was underage, underweight and malnourished. She then informed me that the puppy was from her friend’s female dog and that Dexter had mated with said dog. I asked for information about the female dog and she had none to give other than a contact number that no one answered. She told me she was helping her friend sell the puppies but that was not stated on her website when I left the deposit. Additionally, the paperwork she gave me when claiming he was AKC registered lists her two Boxers as the parents although she verbally stated that it was not entirely correct, therefore falsifying paperwork claiming he was able to be AKC registered.

I called her 6 months later to ask for pictures and information about his mother because he does not even look like a Boxer (or his dad, Dexter) for that matter. She argued with me and got loud claiming that she wouldn’t have her dogs mate with Pitbulls but would still not give me any information on the other dog. This is confusing to me because my paperwork does not match. Kai has a retained t******e which is very rare. It is a genetic disorder and leads to many health problems including being 13 times more likely to develop testicular cancer and stomach torsions. It is more expensive to get him neutered and he is a higher risk of complications. He has had health problems including skin conditions, has been underweight and the vet explained this was due to him being taken from his mother too early. He was unable to get social skills for other animals like he should have with his litter mates as well. I explained this to her and she insisted that she had no idea but would still not let me contact her "friend”. All I wanted was a clear understanding so I knew how to help my dog.

I drove 10 hours to pick him up (I live in Florida). He is an amazing dog with a wonderful temperament and is very intelligent. I could not ask for a better dog. However, if you choose Sherry as a Breeder you will have a puppy with health problems throughout its life, falsified paperwork, and she lied to you about the parents of your animal. She is a fraudulent person and it shows through her actions. I would never recommend her.
