I received a call from a company around Oct 26, 2016, at the time it was not 1file.org (this was the company that eventually processed my account info).  They offered to consolidate my loans and informed me that my new payment based on my income would be $120/month and that I would pay this for 240 months and then the balance would be forgiven. I asked if I can make the payoff in full if I came into some money, the guy said yes it was possible, if I won the lottery or something then I could pay it off before and that amount would be the total of 240 x $120. I was skeptical but they were able to confirm my social and loan amounts information and thought they could really help me pay that amount off as I inquired. What I did not know at that time of confirming to process was that they were going to charge me $39.99 monthly.  I found this out when I called back.  I had already paid $499 to start the processing they claim.  Two later I called back to cancel and the lady I spoke with kept telling me they were still processing and that I should wait, that it would take a month.  I called back again on Nov 30 after I saw a charge of $39.99.  I was a bit infuriated.  They said I will receive an update from my loan company confirming the lower payment.  I kept requesting to get the refund and they said no they could not because they did the work and submitted for approval.  They said they would refund the $39.99 but not the $499.  I then called my loan provider and told the representative about the situation; well, I was informed they these companies cannot give any loan forgiveness and that does not happen, that my loans were not consolidated, that these companies should stop these type of calls, they hope they would eventually find a way to get rid of them, that it a fraud and that I should make a complaint with the attorney general and also file a police report for fraud.  the lady informed that its useless and cancelled the application.  She said we can process your loan and make any changes and will not charge you any monthly fees, if I needed a lower monthly they would assist me.

I called back the company and informed them that if they did not refund the full amount I would take the legal measures and also file a complaint with BBB (they apparently have an A- rating, you wonder was it paid).

I called back again on Dec 1 and the conversation got a little out of hand. At one point, I asked how are they helping me and what exactly are they doing to charge me $39.99 monthly, the rude reply was, what did you sign up for instead of explain thoroughly.

I have received these calls and texts on numerous occasions from various companies and individuals trying to get me to do the loan forgiveness and I decided to try but it was an enormous mistake but I need my money back.  They should be made to pay for their lying scam and how the hell they got my so much of my personal information.   I can say this with confidence because I have this experience and its annoying you work so hard, deploy, long hours and they try to dig the pennies out your pocket.

I rarely write reviews or complaints unless I'm really pushed.
