I purchased what was supposed to be a chocolate shih tzu from Barbara woodworth and another woman names Carolyn. The puppy I purchased was from a litter born on March 19,2006, however when I got the paperwork after calling them quite a few times, it stated that my puppy was born on April 13,2006. She was very tuny and still is which thank God was ok and her health was not a problem however she did have a belly button hernia which the vet had to fix when she was fixed and it cost me an additional $150 which I was supposed to be reimbursed for as the burnwood family claims they stand b y their pets and their supposed health guarantee. I contacted them several times regardi9ng the papers as I can't register her due tho the discrepency of the birthdates being different and I am not even sure if they sent me the puppy that I chose from the 3/19/06 litter. I also have not once gotten an e-mail or a phone call regarding the reinbursement from the hernia.

They just don't call back. When ever you call you get one saying she's Carolyn and then she'll say she's Barbara but I think this could even be one person who knows. They also over chraged me for my dogs flight into Newark airport from Raleigh Durham. I fly with my pets all the time so I know the cost and yet they charged me abour $350 when I know at most it is usually $150 roundtrip per pet and this was only a one way ticket. They scammmed me out of that money too. Though I am happy to say that "Carmella is our baby and of course we love her, these people are theifs and should be shut down for scamming. It's a shame that they can't just run a business legitimately.

I have notified them via e-mail and voice mail for the last time today prior to this complaint. I have all the proof and all the paperwork and all dates & times of my calls and e-mail to them. I warned them that legal action is next and since I have a brother who is an attorney, this won't cost me a dime however it will cost them and in the end, although I hope it doesn't have to come down to that, they will either run there business legitimately or they will be sued and more people who they've scammed will do as a few of us have a post the truth about their scam of a business. God bless all the poor puppies born through them.

Two people charged with animal cruelty

Sunday, August 07, 2011

WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) --

Two people are under arrest, charged with 10 counts each of animal cruelty, after 67 dogs and three cats were taken from their home.

Police say Carolyn Sue Burnham and Barbara Von Woodworth kept the dogs at a house on Professor Street. The ten felony charges facing each of them correspond to the number of dogs that had to be euthanized. Officers were called to their home late Thursday morning after getting a report that the animals were being mistreated.

Of the 70 total animals, 51 dogs were surrendered by the owners, while the remaining 16 dogs and three cats are being held under protective custody. Police spokesman Jim Sughrue says the animals were taken to the Wake County Animal Center for evaluation.

Joanne Duda with the shelter says the dogs had been crowded into cages, sometimes two or three at a time. Duda says some of the animals had tumors and open sores. Some have been euthanized. A woman who answered the door of the home would not talk about the situation. The animals are currently being cared for through the Wake County Animal Center, and various rescue and foster partners.

You can adopt one for $95 spayed and neutered at the Wake County Animal Shelter- See ID numbers 58436-58493 @
