I went to kijiji to purcahse a puppy for my daughter. A sponsored link came up selling miniture shitzus.
I went there and obviousdly fell in love with the supposed puppies. Thru out the site I felt I was dealing with a female. when I contacted the site they said they would be happy to have me pick out a puupy and the cost would be total 700 US 500 for th edog and 200 to ship the dog. They wanted me to do a money transfer not an e-trnasfer. I said I didnt feel comfortble paying all the up front . I would pay half until I received the dog.
I was called by a fellow who barely spoke english and wanted me to pay it all .
I was stern and said no. Fine he said. Then once the transfer was done he said I owuld be getting details about the shipping of the dog. Well I received another email from a company called Pet Animal Trnsfer and it showed that i WOULD HAVE TO PAY 1300 to have the dog shipped. My spidy senses were tingling. I called the fellow back and said I woudl not be doing so and that was not part of the deal . he gave me the number of the transport companyand I called it only to hvae someone very unprofessional on the otherline who too could not speak english well. I told them that I wanted my money back that this was a scam and I would be reporting them.
Which I did to kijiji and they are aware and were looking into it. I still see that the site is on google and it makes me very upset. these guys are praying on peoples emotions and stealing from them.
I reported them and hope you can do something too.
