I was selling a piece of furniture on Craigs list and was contacted by a Richardz Collins saying he wanted to buy it. He informed me that it was for his sister in another state and that he would send me a check with extra money added to it for shipping. I was told to western union the money to the "shipper" after I got the check and keep the rest for the item.
I called the bank to verify that the check was good because it was for 2400.00 that is 1950.00 more than the price of the furniture. The bank Southwest informed me that it was a scam and to shred the check.
Don't get caught up in this scam.
