My family and I recently went to this diner for breakfast. While there I observed several health code violations. In the bathroom I noticed a bug trap which had what I believe to be cochroaches. I watched waitress smoking cigarette, take a couple drags then make someones toast, without ever washing hands.

Another waitress blew her nose behind counter, then served coffee, and muffin also without washing hands. I then noticed what I believe was owner, step into kitchen and help prepare food while smoking a cigarette in kitchen. By this time we decided to go somewhere else, but could not resist to ask waitress where the hand sink is located? She replyed "We don't have room for one" So in other words they have no sink. I thought it was against health code to have no hand sink. I am a smoker, even I am sickened with the thought of ashes in my food/drinks, not to mention people blowing their noses, and not washing hands. I think the Health Department needs to take a closer look at VIOLATIONS in this place. I would suggest another diner, although I can't tell you how the food is, as we left immediately.

If these situations exsist as you say they do, contact the local health department and complain. I find it hard to believe that they do not have a handwash sink and are still open, if the health department has inspected the establishment, but do call and let them know what you saw.
