Shirley Motz asked my wife and I for a $500 bribe simply to list out property in Crestone which is a total violation of state and federal regulations. She also repeatedly lied to us that she had shown the property when she hadn't. Once she told us she had shown it to a couple who we are friends with who are not even in the market.
She drinks all the times, smells like booze at meetings, she's a bartender too, great realtor who has to bar-tend to make a living, anyways, she lied through her teeth and we found out she's ripped off dozens of other people asking for money and then doing nothing.
We reported this to the state regulators and police and they told us they are just waiting for enough evidence to put her away so feel free to get in touch with your owns stories of getting ripped off by her.

Ok Rebuttal is easy on this one-How exactly would you bribe someone to list their house? Give me $500 and sign this contract or what? I won't list your house? I cant even figure out how a bribe like this would work. Someone needs to do a little more homework, and come up with something a little more realistic. Second line, after this would you list your house with this person?? Third line continue to allow this person to show your home, and enter your home with buyers when you were not there, knowing this person would be dishonest?
Second paragraph-Even funny for those in this small community who know me. I own shares in the local bar, and am known for kicking drunks out, but not being drunk myself. An occasional good wine is lovely though, and dont knock it, just dont like to have to deal with intoxicated people. Unfortunately, the bar is closing down as the present other owners, and myself dont have the time to devote to it right now. It has been a great venue for fund raisers and dances/ music events for the local community, including fund raisers for the food bank, neighbors helping neighbors, and quite a few film events to rally for the environment. Altogether a good energy place. How exactly do you get people to give you money for doing nothing? If I knew that I probably wouldnt be working so much.
OK, Now it gets hilarious-Im 58 and anyone who wants to can spend a few dollars, and go on numerous sites on the internet, and check my lack of police record. A big "0". Anyway, in Colorado, all complaints on Realtors go through the CO Real Estate Commission first, and then if there is merit, it goes to the Court system in CO. CO Real Estate commission doesnt play around and wields a strong arm on ethics issues. I have been a Realtor in CO 22 years, and never brought before the Board on any issues. This can be verified by calling the Board. Also, happy to share some of my referral letters I have collected over the years from clients, some of my treasures!
I did however, bring to light that someone was posing as a mortgage Broker in our community, and taking money from people for appraisals that were never performed. When one of the locals asked me about this person since they had seen several reports about them on this very site, I checked their credentials with the Real Estate Commission who also regulates Mortgage Brokers, and they were practicing with out a license-against the Law in CO. I then informed one of the other Realtors in this area who was working with this person. They told him, and he proceeded to threaten to slander my name. I saved ALL his emails regarding this, and as things unraveled here for this person, he sent out emails saying he was getting out of the mortgage business, and I heard a family member rebated to some people their fees they had paid him. I stood up when he threatened me, and knew there might be repercussions. Anyway, since the person who posted this didnt sign their work, cant be sure who did it, but have my thoughts. Sending them Light and Compassion
