Complaint Review: Shiva Transport

While on road they called and said final weight was far above quote. I ask for weight slips for conformation. They said they would send to me I gave them Fax number to send to. They would not send weight slips and they had been already been paid. At delivery of furniture they demanded 50.00 additional. I wrote check and then stopped payment and never did hear of any concern from them. I called and found there phones had been shut off and remained that way as well as no response from email. The overcharge was well over $2000.00. Some items were missing and almost everything made of glass was broken, boxes crushed, etc. Took pictures of broken items, glass and pictures while unloading of boxes.

I have been trying to do something about this but have been unable to find an attorney that was willing to take the case. I assume because they would not get paid unless they won the case. The cost to hire an attorney paid upfront would exceed I guess what I could recoup, thus no rectification and they go on under different name I am guessing. I would be happy to join forces if anyone is interested.
