On March, 2005 me and my husband signed a contract with Shoma Homes for a $300's house, They promise us the house for Max September.

On September they told us that they were having problems with FPL and that the house will be done by november.
They ended up calling us on december for the walk-thru.
After that they said they were waiting for the CO (ocuppancy) to tell us the real date for the closing so, our bank could prepared all the documents.

Once thay have the CO on january 16 ( Martin L. King day) they send us the letter to close on Jan 18th. Our bank wasn't ready for that date, they just have the CO on jan 17. You know how many days the banks takes to finish the documents.

On jan 19 Shoma Homes sent us a fax telling us that the contract was void. When we tried to contact them, they would not help us, nobody talked to us and they refuse to call me the manager so I could see what happened.
The only response that we had from the closing cordinator was: I'm sorry I can't do anything....that house sold to another person...

How can they sell a house in two days?? Off course the house value is $65.000 more so maybe somebody offered them that money. So all the time I waited for the house doesn't matter, they could not wait two days for my closing.

I already filed a lawsuit against them. Their contracts are totally made with the worst intentions.And also they should gave me a closign notice and I was supposed to have 3 days to prepare my closing.(like the contract said)

My advise to all is please have a lawyer to read the contract before you sign! They use unlawful terms and the buyer is not protected.

Don't let them step on you...Fight we have rights...we are the clients, they are not giving us the houses for free!
