Through an email I registered for a application. Shop the World claims to Pay you for shopping and sending them a review of your experience.
I was sent an UPS document envelope containing a check for $2,986.25 and instructions on a paper. The letter told me to deposit witin 24 hrs and then withdraw cash within 24 hours. The check has no state address and was under the Town & Country Federal Credit Union, www.tcfcu.com
After withdrawing money I am supposed to use moneyGram to transfer Robert Anderson, Socorro TX, $876.00; Steve Shaw, Cautillo TX., $877.00, and Marcus Baldwin, Clint TX., $878. They claim to pay me $300 for reviewing only 1 chain restuarant. They say to set aside money for the MoneyGram transfer fees and resturant cost.
Needless to say, I could not find a link to Shop The World. It was only email.
So, I have not acted on this ridiculous sounding payment method for "eating out reviews". It appears that they want you to withdraw money, give it to them and you end up with being liable for a mess!
