Shopcv.com ripoff wanted credit card over phone today Carlsbad California
I received a phonecall today from Johnny Rivers from crystal vision software saying that I was called because I was a Broderbrun customer. He wanted me to pay 19.95 for a 30 day trial on shopcv.com which he stated is a website closed to the public offering deeply discounted software, ink cartridges, and other electronics.
I would also receive a 20 dollar coupon to apply to my purchases on shpocv.com therefore making this a free trial. If i was happy after 30 days I would pay 49.95 for a lifetime membership. I said I was uncomfortable giving my credit card over the phone due to fraud, when i had not heard about his company before and that I preferred to look into things further myself he increased the pressure saying if I wanted to rip someone off why would I call Canada when I could call millions of people in the US. He started giving me odds and I said I wanted to discuss with my husband who is a cop to make sure this wasn't a scam. He became more frustrated with me and eventually said fine I'm deleting you from the call list. Thanks Johnny you just saved me money. Beware not much in this world is "free"

When they ask me for a credit card number, I say 4. The more they try to explain to me why that number won't work, the more fun I can have. For instance, after telling me that 4 is not a CC number, I'll say, "okay, 6!". I love to cheese off crooks!
