Late April 2006, I was waching an Ad about Power Storm Vacuum Cleaners. The TV Ad made a statement of buy one and get another one free. Plus a free Steamer and Steamer Accessories, and a Magic Duster included if you call within the next 10 minutes.

I called the number given in the comercial ad, it was an automated system, any way I like the idea of getting someting free, so I completed the order for (1) one vacuum cleaner with a 5 year extended warranty.

On 5/15/2006 my credit card was charge for $216.85, I called the bank and they provide me with the number for the corporate office in New York, 212-575-0500 is a good number to call, but they will send the call to customer service, and you will run you long distance call untill you get tired or stay in line as the next customer, but will tell you that the system is down, and they will call you later.

On 5/20/2006 the shipment arrived, two Power Storm Vaccums in one box, the Invoice description unit price is 2 Power Storm Vacuums for $119.85, Steamer and Steamer Accessories Back Order, but charge $20.00 for shipment, Magic Duster Back Order, no charge, 5 Year Warranty $10.00 for each vacuum cleaner, a total of $216.85.

Well one of the vacuum is not working and I call the same number 800-278-6886 for customer service, but this number is a front, no one answered this number. Then I called the customer service in New York (212-575-0500), after 5 minutes ringing some one answered the line and tranferred me to customer service, were I run 2 hours waiting as the next customer in line. then the system dropped me off.

a LOT of poor cleaners on the market

#2Consumer Comment

Why don't you simply go to Consumer Reports and read their test results on vacuum cleaners and stean cleaners? There are a LOT of poor cleaners on the market. A free cleaner that is ineffective is no bargain because it will annoy you, waste your time, and waste electricity. Generally, the best performing brand has the same name as the 1928 - 1932 US president.
