Shopgoodwill Too good to be true? "Can't find my order" Tacoma Washington
Often, the things I have bid on on the Shopgoodwill.com site get outbid, well past the market value. I don't know if it is shill bidding (as I am now reading elsewhere on this report), but it is odd.
The other day I actually won an item that was a really great deal. For once, the item didn't get bid up. A $150 - $300 item for only $20! Specifically it was a Tektronix Type 514 D Cathode-Ray Oscilloscope. I was so excited. Promptly paid for it, confirmed with customer service where it would be. What is not disclosed in the "pick-up" details is that pickups are only between 10-4 Tuesday through Friday. As I have a job, a family member drove the 50 minutes to the Tacoma store during their incredibly inconveinient and undisclosed hours. When she got there- they allegedly COULDN'T FIND THE ITEM. This is a SIXTY POUND ITEM. It is huge. It could not possibly have gotten lost.
My family member called, distraught that they couldn't find it. I checked online and discovered that this is a regular occurance. Did you get a good deal? Chances are, they "can't find it" when you get to the store. I told her to ask for a refund which they gave.
I guess I will be watching to see if they relist it. Or maybe an employee took it home. Either way, VERY VERY SHADY. Shame on you Shopgoodwill Tacoma. I will never be buying from you again.
I would strongly recommend avoiding shopgoodwill.com. There are very clearly some very alarming practices going on.
