Complaint Review: ShopNBC - Acer America Corporation

ShopNBC - Acer America Corporation Package included 2-yr extended warranty, but no one accepting responsibility now that computer has literally died!! Naperville Illinois San Jose California

When I purchase the Acer/Aspire laptop computer package from ShopNBC, it included 1-yr manufacturer warranty and a 2-yr extended warranty (36 months on parts and labor).

Now with only six months to go on the warranty, the computer died, literally; however, ShopNBC refers me to Acer, who refers me back to ShopNBC and no one is admitting responsibilty to repair the computer.

I have complained to U.S. Better Business Bureau, and just recently sent complaints to Illinois State AG about Shop NBC and California State AG about Acer America Corp. as I believe they are just as responsible due to the fact that they allow ShopNBC to "drop ship" their product in this fashion and then deny responsibility when they receive complaints about it!

My first request was just to get the computer repaired; however, now I want it either repaired, replaced, or refunded - if repaired I want an extended warranty as the product does not seem to stand the test of time!!

Whether I get any satisfaction from either of these companies remains to be seen as for sure ShopNBC does not have a very good track record. Therefore, my main concern would be to advise any other people not to do business with ShopNBC, or for that matter Acer America as they don't seem too concerned about the bad reputation this is bringing to their product - or maybe it is a bad reputation already known!!!
