I have been a scanner with shoppers since 2005. It was not until the end of 2007 that I became aware of getting the debit card. I don't recall what I had to do to get it, but once I requested it, I received it in less than three weeks. The card had $200 on it and I have been using it to combat the high price of gas. Instead of getting angry with shoppers, perhaps you should try to call them. I know that Ive been on the brink of getting dropped for not scanning and they sent me a notice and we cleared up the issue, as the scanner would not transmit when I had internet phone service. Everything is great. Try to call them to get it resovled. They're great. Neilson, on the other hand are a-holes and I sent them back their scanner so that they could scan it where the sun don't shine!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for voicing what shoppers hotline is doing because it helps others whom are considering doing their service from becoming victims. I recently received an invite to this program. I wanted to make sure it was legit so I looked up their company on ripoffreport.com and that is how I ended up here. I just threw away the info I got from them in the mail. THANK YOU!!!

Shoppers Hotline

#4Consumer Suggestion

I have the same issue. I sent the equipment back in early August and heard various excuses from this company. I even had someone tell me the debit card was sent, then come back and say they were wrong and there was an investigation into why the cards weren't going out. (what!)

>Don't waste your time filing a complaint with the BBB in this matter. They will not help you get paid. I did and they (BBB) got a response from Shoppers Hotline in early December. The response was "This person will be paid within two weeks" and that was a month ago. There was no name attached or anything just that one sentence as a response. Upon later contacting the BBB they told me the complaint was "resolved" because the company did make an attempt to resolve it. If I wanted any other action taken I would need to file suit in Chicago (small claims) against the company
The best thing to do is file a complaint with the Attorney General in Illinois for fraud. The forms are online and you can fill them out, and then print them right there. That's the best course of action at this time and hopefully that will light a fire under this company.
