Shopping Disbursements (A subsidiary of shopping jobs inc.) sent me a check in the amount of 4,998.00, said that I was being trained to become a mystery shopper (customer). Included in the check, were the funds to cover all of the "tasks" that I had to do in order to complete my training. Also included was salary and training pay. I deposited the check 1/15/008 into my account, and the bank put a 5 day hold on the check. On the sixth business day Thurs. 1/24/08 I withdrew the cash, with the assumption that it must have cleared because the hold was placed on it and they released cash to me. Anyway I performed all of the tasks on the paper. Wal-Mart purchase $50.00, Gap Purchase $40.00, Western Union transfer $1549.00 with a service charge of 99.00 (to be made at Bashes), and Money gram transfer of $2,853.00 with a service fee of 57.00. So any way the next day Fri. I went to my bank to make a deposit, and they informed me that my balance was -5,000.00 that the check was returned. I feel like an idiot, in hind site I see it but I was so happy to have a job, that paid well and was able to still be home with the children, I even brought one of the children with me to do the so called "tasks". With a total loss of 4,567.99.
