Shopping Essentials Potpourri Potpourri gift Bought gift from Potpourri and Shopping Essentials Ripped my Visa for 4 months withdrawing unauthorized amounts of $9.99 Ripoff Chelmsford Massachusetts
I bought my wife a gift from Potpourri online gift catalog and notice that a company called Shopping Essentials started ripping off my credit card with unauthorized charges of $9.99 month. I called Shopping Essentials and they stated that i signed up for this service from the Potpourri website. I called Potpourri to tell them that a ripoff site was using them to get Credit Card information and they did NOT seem concerned and actually did not care. I did not sign up for the Shopping Essentials service. Even after going to the Shopping Essentials website, I cannot seem to figure out what they actually do to help anyone for 10 bucks a month. Its a SCAM!!!!!

Sir,
I am sorry for your bad experience with us, however, I have some info you might want to consider.
On the internet, when you place your order there is a box that is already checked. It says that you will get a $20 rebate check to trying the Shopping Essentials (a.k.a Passport To Fun) program, RISK-FREE, for 30-days. If you did not uncheck that box then you willingly signed-up for the program. It is no diffrent than other companies having the pre-checked box for privacy issues. You have to op-out by unchecking that box.
You would have still recieved a packet in the mail within 3-7 buisness days of placing your order telling you what you signed up for. Insideis a number in which you can cancel with. They give you no troubles cancelling, simple.
Next time just read everything you submit.
