I was checking my bank account online, when I found that my debit card had been charged $19.95 by "Shopping Essential" and "Todays Escapes" in March and then again in April. Needless to say, i was very upset. It was late when I tried to call so I was unable to get through. I "Googled" them and found their information on "Rip-Off Repfort". The next morning I contacted my bank, advised them of what had occured, and what I had found on "Rip-Off Report". They contacted "Shopping Essentials" for me with whom I had a thity minute conversation with about how I did not order a membership with them. They stated that a telemarketer called my house, and that I gave them my card number. I stated that I would of never given my card number to a telemarketer. I also stated to them that if this was the case that this was fraud, I'll contact the FCC, file an official complaint against them. I also stated that since I went onto "Rip-Off Report", I know of at least 100 other they have done this too, so we can get a class action law suit against them. I asked them if they really wanted all that trouble over crediting my account $39.90! They stated my account would be credited within two days!

I then Contacted Today's Escapes, and found out that even though it was a different phone number, it was the same company. When they answered the phone, I started to laugh at them, the person on the other end probably thot I was rude, but I thought they were idiots. I thought since I had gotten the first credit, that the second credit would be easyer, well i was wrong. They were willing to give my a credit for $19.95, but not for the full amount. So, again, I had to threaten them, and I did get my way. The funny thing is, the guy said, "You can't aways believe what you read on the internet." (Replying to my coment about rip-off report) I told him that if it was one, that fine, but several people don't lie!

Don't let these jerks get away with this! There number is on your statement, give them a call! It might make you feel better to give them a peice of your mind. I know it did me. I told them what I though of them and what they did, and they got scared! I controlled what happened! I had control, and they didn't, and it felt great! You might want to try it befor calling the bank, you may feel better!
