I got a notice in the mail that I was a finalist in a contest from Lakeland Toyota, where you could win any of the five prizes.  The least was $150.00 in cash up to $25,871.00.  On the flyer, it shows the other three prizes as a TV, IPod, $300 debit card.  It clearly states that "You do not have to buy anything in order to win".   Thinking that Lakeland Toyota was a reputable company and wondering what I could win, I went.

Salesman came over and said "I need you to get registered".  After explaining that I had no intentions of buying a new car as my car is relatively new and little mileage, He left to get my prize.  I noticed many others were there with their flyers.  WOW! I thought.  The salesman came back and said "You have won a $300.00 debit card."  and handed me a card.  "Oh, by the way, you have to shop at ShoppingCardStore.com".  What?  "Oh check it out on the internet and you will see all the things you can buy" He replied.

Well you go on the internet, you have to pay shipping and handling for each item purchased plus a $5.00 processing fee (supposed to be one time charge).  None of the items are worth fives cents. This is a total rip-off by Lakeland Toyota!!!  It should be stopped!

Did it ever occur to you how can you become a "finalist" in a contest you never entered?  That fact, in and of itself, should have told you this was a waste of time!

It's not a rip-off if you don't buy anything but it certainly qualifies as a waste of time.
