Showcase Resorts

On July 12/07, I got a call from Greg Noli who said he was the manager of Showcase Resorts, and he said Remember I said we would not call you again unless we had a serious offer to purchase your Timeshare?

He said he could get $5,000 more than I was asking because the prices at the Velas Vallarta Resort had gone up a lot and the prospects wanted another week there.

I had to send them $3,999. USD before they could go ahead with the sale, but not to worry as they would rent out the 2 weeks I had deposited at RCI (without extra charge)
And I would have the money for the rentals before I had to pay my credit card.

After I signed their contract, I phoned to ask when I would have the Offer to Purchase documents but there was a message that the office was closed. The next time I called, Greg was too busy to talk to me.

I suspected that this was probably a scam & asked my credit card company to do a dispute on the charge.

Shortly after that, I got a call from David Medley, Director of Showcase Resorts. He told me that he had a buyer for my property & was processing the paper work, when his secretary told him that there was a chargeback to their account by me.

He admitted that Greg Noli did not have a buyer when he said he did, then David asked if I had a credit to my account & I told him I had a temporary credit. He told me to call the credit card company & tell them to make the temporary credit permanent.

He knew that credit card companies give a temporary credit when disputing a charge. I did not know that. Then David wanted me to let him process another $3,999.00, since they had refunded the money to my credit card, and he would look after me personally.

I contacted Card Services and was told that the temporary credit was from Master Card & would be reversed from my account if they could not recover the money.

David Medley & his accountant both insisted that they had refunded my money, so I asked them to send me proof that they had refunded my money, but there was nothing and they did not contact me again. Master Card said they were unable to do anything, since I had signed a contract.

I had also asked him if he was the same David Medley that had scammed me out of $1000.00 under the name of Time Star & he said that there was someone impersonating him.

I have been scammed by several other Timeshare Resellers in Las Vegas as well as from Florida. If someone knows where I could contact the Florida Attorney General, I would truly appreciate it.

I am desperate to sell my Timeshare and recover some funds from the Scammers.
