Complaint Review: Showtown Apparel & More

Showtown Apparel & More Didn't have the movie in stock, then canceled my order when I asked them about it. Totally rude emails from the owner. Byron MI

I ordered a Blu Ray movie from this company and then proceeded to wait on having it shipped. After 3 business days of waiting, I hit the contact button on the website to see where it was. No response. I then opted for a message to the company in another section of the website. I simply asked when my movie would be shipped and why it was still listed on the website as awaiting to be fulfilled. I told them I had contacted them before and if I didn't hear back from them, that a charge back would be my only recourse. I received an extremely rude email from who I can only think is the owner of the company, basically telling me that the order was canceled and refunded due to me asking a question and stating I could do a chargeback, which is well within my rights. According to him, He "doesn't have time to waste on people like me." I wrote back and advised him that it proved he didn't have the movie in stock, and was frantically searching for it to send it to me. Once again, another email back to me with quite a few exclamation marks to emphasize his points evidently. Completely rude and unprofessional from this individual that runs or owns the company. Do not buy from this website or this store. They are evidently running a business to where they go look for what you ordered in hopes of finding it, instead of having it in stock. Complete buyer beware here. If you choose to shope here, good luck, because you're going to need it.

If we do something wrong, we are the first to admit it. We may have over reacted a bit in this case, but it's clearly stated on the site in multiple places orders can take up to 10 business days (M-F) to ship and due to high sales volume email response time is up to 3 business days as well. As a small business, not some huge company like Amazon or Wal-Mart we're not available 24/7 to answer questions that can be simply answered by looking at the site before or after placing an order.

If we weren’t having to take sometimes hours a day to answer questions that are already answered on the site we could get orders out faster. We don't take kindly to unwarranted threats like Wes Haun, Phone: 865-748-2274 residing at 724 W Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920 did. He seems like the kind of person that would have charged back his credit card even if we shipped his order right away if he didn’t get an immediate reply.

All he needed was some patience and all of this wouldn’t have happened. He didn't read the site info and understand what he was ordering was a MOD item and it takes time. I am sorry we didn’t respond better in this case. We are usually very nice and understanding.
