I was looking for reviews on payroll services and found sidebysidereviews.com/ which supposedly reviews the top ten companies and let's you compare thier prices. I clicked on the button that said 'compare quuotes' and I expected to get prices after I complted the box. Instead I had 4 different companies call me trying to sell me thier payroll service. Those companies were national brands and were fine, but I was not expecting to get on a list and field sales calls from all these people. I contacted Side By Side Reviews and they pretty much told me they did nothing wrong and that it was my fault for not paynig attention. Unless you want to get a bunch of calls I would not recommend giving them your personal phone number.

We value and appreciate our website visitors and their privacy. Our goal is to offer a quality B2B buyers guide with reviwes of some of the best products and services. Your complaint is understood as you “had 4 different companies call me” and that was not what you expected. We apologize for the confusion and we always take visitor complaints very serious. The 2nd sentence in our privacy policy states “By completing our quote request form, you authorize us, our affiliates and up to six companies that can help with your project to call you at the number you provided”.

 

Further, our about us page also states “When you click a “Get Quotes” button you are agreeing to be contacted by up to 6 suppliers”. We understand that sometimes this can be easily overlooked, but unfortunately we cannot over populate our site with this message.  Your concern will be addressed at our next board meeting to discuss possible solutions to help prevent this in the future.
