I can't speak for an enterprise, but for small companies, I do have some advice.

If your cash flow is under $1M, stay away. You have to be spending a massive amount on ads every month for this to make sense. You can get the same results with google's built in ROA conversion optimizer. What I did like about them was the help setting up and the ongoing reporting. They aren't shady, just expensive for the little value they provide. Once the account went into maintenance mode, I realized that $1100 for Google in U.S. only was going to kill my bottom line. Then they helped set up an A/B test in which Google ROA optimizer (free) performed a little better than Sidecar.

Lastly, they renew every 3 months. Be careful about that. I asked the salesman early on if I'd get stuck and he said "we aren't that kind of company." But when I gave notice with 2 months left (after using it 4 months) they simply stick it to me, even though I removed their access and they had nothing left to do.

Feeling Better

Sidecar agreed to waive the remaining terms of my contract, which I feel was a great service-oriented move on their part given my specific situation. They've also escalated my situation with one of their top service people, to understand where my experience went wrong so they can prevent something similar for other customers.

As I've said before, this company is not a shady company. Their product is a good one, but you have to make sure it is right for the revenue of your company. And as a startup, I fully expect them to improve their service experience over time. Working with me on my concerns was certainly a step in the right direction.
