I received a gift card as a wedding gift, and by the time we were able to use it (less than three months from receipt of card), the company had gone belly up, filed bankruptcy, and our wedding gift rendered useless. My beloved aunt spent $100 on this present, all for naught. I have no recourse for getting her money back or for taking advantage of the gift at all. We are all very diappointed that there was no contact regarding the bankruptcy or any accountability for paying back cardholders.
