07/26/16 - I signed with Signpost for $199 around 3:00 PM EST. Right after I signed up I did a little research I realized that this service was not for me. Having only paid the initial $199 and never even setting up an account, I contacted Signpost at around 6:45 PM EST the same day and asked them to cancel my account and refund my money (approximately 3 hours on the same).

 

 07/26/16 - 6:45 PM EST - email from me:

"Thank you for taking the time to respond, however, I need to have the contract cancelled. We are opting to put our money into a new website and will not be needing the services of SignPost."

 Your Onboarding Checklist

To ensure your onboarding call goes smoothly, we ask that you come prepared with some basic information about your business. You'll need to be in front of your computer and you should expect the call to take up to an hour. Thank you in advance!

 Business Email Access For the onboarding, you'll need to know the login credentials for the email address you use to communicate with customers. It's also helpful if you know which email service provider you use: Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, GoDaddy, AOL etc.

Social Media Pages Make sure you have the login info for your Facebook, Google+, and Yelp business pages. It's best if you can create or claim them in advance. Otherwise, we can help you create them during the call.

Customer Offer Come prepared with an enticing offer that you would like to distribute throughout your network to attract new customers and encourage repeat business (e.g. 25% Off Any Service).

Business Description We'll put together your business description using your website and other online content, but we can change it on the call to anything you wish. This will be displayed on your social media profiles.

Your Logo This will appear in the marketing materials we create and share on your behalf.

 

 07/27/16 - heard nothing from SignPost all day.

 

 07/28/16 - 9:00 AM EST- 2nd email from me:

 I left you a voicemail yesterday, and tried reaching out this morning. For some reason it would not let me leave a voicemail today.

 I do need to speak with you over the phone in order to make any edits to your subscription. Let me know your availability, and I will reach out when it is more convenient for you.

 Just left you another voicemail. I cannot make any edits to your subscription without talking with you on the phone. Call me when you can, 646-795-6591

On top of this I called in and was pretty much told, tough luck, that regardless of the fact that I had sent SignPost an email 3 hours after paying them $199, but having never setup an account, that I could choose to keep going with them or pay about $500 more as penalty for not sticking with them and then I would be free of them.
