I placed and order for a DVD with Silver Age Entertainment.  I founf out the next day that the site is a scam and takes money without delivering the product.  I tried to cancel the order and get a refund, but the company ignored me.  I reported this to my bank and they started an investigation.

Most people who had deatl with this company in the past never received any product.  Since My bank started an investigation to get their money back, I recently received something in the mail from the company.  There was no return address.  I opened it with caution and removed the DVD.  The case was for the movie I ordered, but the disk itself was another movie.  Not only that, but it was pirated.

At this point in time, I contacted my local law enforcement agency who had me file a report with the FBI via their IC3 online reporting site.  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR ANYONE WHO EXPERIENCES THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THIS OR ANY OTHER SITE TO DO THE SAME!

Additionaly, ripp-off sites like this lack things like contact information and other details that one would normally find on a REAL companies web site.  Be careful!

i also ordered a dvd from silver age.  i received a bootleg copy that was very poor quailty (that i paid $14.95 for).  i wonder if they have the approporiate license to copy and distribute the movies on their website.

i emailed their cistomer service center multiple times and have not received a response.

i contacted the better business bureau and they rejected my case complaint due to a lack of address for silver age, which they conveniently do not include on the shipped package, or their website.  i guess i now know why.

and to add insult to injury, i paid $4.95 for shipping.  when i received the shipment, i had a notice from usps that i owed $0.15 to cover the postage not covered by silver age entertainment.

i am shocked that this can go on, and that the bbb refuses to do anything about it.  where is the consumer protection, what is the point of the bbb?

I too recently ordered a movie from this website, i was looking for an old xmas movie from my childhood, this website came up, and before i looked into it, which was my fault, i ordered, then thought the site looked a little sketchy, i googled it from scratch and found this review, i immediatley called my bank to stop payment but they could not, due to it being a bank card, they said i would have to wait & see what happens, then take it up with the website, i did recieve a package a week later, and it is my movie, but the case is from the computer & the dvd was blank, i played in one of my dvd players, it wouldnt work, tried another, it plays but is pirated! so i paid $20 for a bootleg movie!!!! that i could buy at a flea market or something for a few bucks! i do not like the fact this site has my info, and i dont know where to go to get them shut down! it is illegal!!! im looking fior direction! help!
