The silver bomber electric scooter is a rip-off. It will work for an hour or so, and then stop working. In the last month, I have purchased two of these scooters, one from a local K-Mart and one from an online company. Both scooters simply stop working when the accelerator lever is pulled. I have taken apart both of the scooters and attempted to repair them, but they are just not a good product. I would advise anyone thinking about buying one of these scooters to find a different electric scooter to buy.

Silver Bomber rip off

#3Consumer Suggestion

Sun, April 28, 2002

I purchased a silver bomber and an upgraded charger. When I attempted to used the charger I heard a rattle in it and the scoter would not charge or work.

I called the company several times and they stated that the charger was probably defective and that they would send me a replacement.

Several months have gone by and have not heard any thing from they or the replacement. I have attepted to recontact they and have not had any luck. I am thinking about contact the tv stations about this product.

I bought one for my kid and he has had great luck with it!

Rebuttal:
I bought one for my kid and he has had great luck with it! He only weighs 60lbs, maybe that is some of the reason why it has been fine. However, I did my for some relatives and to resell, and have had some with the problem of losing high speed. It appears the problem is due to a blown fuse, vibration, or the weak wiring used to pull power from the batteries. I am still working on the problem, but each time I have encountered it, it
is due to one of these problems. I hope to build and sell a "Fix Kit" by February of 2002. Feel free to contact me at mholder@iquest.net
