Silver King International STA Research, Craig Leerberg Company uses deceptive 'survey' to get your info, then schedules a 'demonstration' at your house Colorado Springs, Colorado
This company first contacted us by phone, calling themselves a 'research' company doing a survey. They said it was for research purposes only. A few weeks later, they called back and talked to my husband, and told him that I had filled out a survey with them and wanted them to come out and demo an air filtration system. They had enough info from the survey that my husband thought it was someone I had talked to about this, so he set up the appointment.
I then realized that the telephone 'survey' was nothing but a way to try to get around the 'no call list' rules that says companies can't call you to try to sell you something. They do a bogus 'survey', and then hope your unsuspecting spouse answers the phone next time and thinks this is a company you know.
When the guy showed up for our 'demo' appointment, he insisted he wasn't selling anything. Riiiight. I asked for a card, and he didn't have one. He put me on the phone with someone in his office, and I asked the name of the company. She said 'STA Research', and I asked for the company phone number. There is no such 'research' company, but the phone is registered to Silver King International, a manufacturer and seller of vacuum cleaners. Gee, but they aren't selling anything.
What a sleazy way to try to sell their worthless, overpriced vacuum systems! They are junk, and the 'free gifts' they give you are worth less than the paper they're printed on.
