In Nov on or about the 14th I signed up for their sevice, which was a free 1 week trial for search services. I was promted to provide "either" a credit card or check, I first provided a credit card number, when trying to sign in I was told the account can not be activated w/o a checking account, I reluctantly provided the information.

After having access to the site, I realized it was crap and all the information that I found was available for free on the internet, so two days later I requested for the account to be cancelled. This is when I notice they have no contact numbers, which you don't know until after you actually provide billing information.

I sent several emails requesting for my account to be cancelled. I also clicked some link, that was supposed to cancel the account. I called the company that took the credit card information(ibill) and they cancelled and made sure my card would not be charged. With that I figured the check would not be charged.

MISTAKE, month and a half later I see a forced charge in my online checking statment for the amount of $19.95. When I received my paper statment on the 17th of Jan, I see the charge was from simDetective.net. I tried to access the account I was told the account was not active unless a credit card is provided. You can try to login yourself and see. I can't even access the site but these people are charging me. How is that even possible?

All I want is my $19.95 back and my billing information removed from their system. I called information for a phone number and gave the address and the number that came up was for a residence 326-594-0117. If this the president's number or not, I don't know, but this is the number that comes up for the company address as well as under another address with a different name.

This is a scam that they have going on. The site gives you 2 email addresses to contact them at and that's it. No one responds, not even and auto responder. I received another charge 3 months after being contacted by these people in January via email. If I'm supposed to be charged monthly, what happened to the other charges for these past 5 months?

I called this PATTRICK STUEBER and he claims the company was sold(hmmmm) and he only has an EMAIL for them. I went through the BBB and they never received a response.
