Consumers - beware of the "SIMON giftcard" by US Bank!
I received the $25 gift card from someone and used up $17 then when I went to the supermarket to use the remaining $8 it was declined! Not only was it declined for $8 but also for $7 and also for $6. The last time I checked, $25 minus $17 equalled $8!!! It's not a lot of money, but think about it; this company is potentially making millions by stealing $8 and more here and there! I can without any hesitation accuse US Bank and their so called "SIMON giftcard" (misspelled - I know, but that's how it's listed on the card) of stealing because this is the 3rd - yes the THIRD time this has happened. The last 2 cards I lost out on were from Christmas 2006. Losses, including this time are about $49 total!!! If I ever receive such a card again, I will take it straight to the Economic crimes division of the State Attorney's office. I'll take the State Attorney out on a couple of purchase myself if I have to, just to show him exactly how this scam unfolds. Anyway, I'm not surprised because US Bank used to issue "AMWAY Visa cards" Yes - AMWAY, another scam outfit!

I think those simon gift cards were suppose to be rated one of the worst cards out there cause they had a "maintenance fee" of $2.95 per month. Which means that $2.95 is deducted from the balance of the card each and every month. Some guy just posted that he got one last X-mas for $25 and went to use it this X-mas and it was all gone due to "maintenance fees". talk about a rip.
