Simon Rentals Inc. NORTHERN COLORADO trying to get CC and other personal info Fort Collins Colorado
I saw an ad for a rental home on Craigslist. I replied to the email provided and was immediately responded to with a general response asking me to fill out a credit report and give personal information before I could set up a showing of the property. I did a search for Simon Rentals and came across several rip off reports here in this site in various cities and states. The other rip off reports I read all said the same thing.
The CL listing did not give a specific city/state and was very vague. The rental price was WAY too good to be true, so I knew it was, but still sent an email to see if I would get a response.
Some of the email:
The screening process consists of a free credit check performed by our partner company. Once you complete the free credit check you will be given a transaction id # from the credit agency. Please forward the transaction id # to simonrentalsinc@gmail.com. Please do not forward your credit report We can verify the information we need by your transaction id #. If everything checks out OK you will be contacted to arrange a convenient time to meet and see the property.

DO NOT fall for this scam and don't give these people ANY of your information! If you see them on your local CL flag them immediately!!!
