In April 2003 I found charges on my Citi Card Student Visa of $14.95 and again in May and June. I called Citi bank who gave me phone# for Simple Escapes. I called them and they couldn't find my name, address, social security #- no record of me. The rep then asked for my VISA # which I wouldn't give. They said they couldn't help me unless I did and I should call Citi back. I did and was told by that rep that Citi "sells" the account #'s to THEIR client Simple Escapes.

I requested a copy of all of my monthly bills from the beginning of my accout. It took until Oct 2003 to get them. I found charges from Simple Escapes beginning in Jan 2003. I called Citi who after talking to Simple would only credit 2 fees of $14.95 each back but not the over limit fees these charges caused. Citi simply extended my credit limit by $150-without my permission-to accomodate them.

Citi was told that on 12/14/02 they spoke to me and I approved this billing. On that date I was away at college and can prove they had no contact with me. I have gone from a billing of $470.00 (which I did owe in April 2003) to $1075.00 this month. I have called, written 3 letters to Citi and continued paying a good faith payment of $25.00 every month but have gotten no where.

I have stopped paying and spoken to Citi who refuses to help and am now being bombarded with collection calls (at least 3 a day). I am 20 yrs old and my credit is wrecked forever. I know there are class action suits in New York, California and Minnesota from internet findings. Please help in MICHGAN.
