I attended a bridal show and registered to win a free honeymoon getaway with Simplicity Gourmet. I received a call that we had won the free trip all inclusive to Mexico, Panama, and Dominican Republic for 3 days and 2 nights but had to attend a free demonstration on January 27, 2007 of their cookware products in order to receive it with no obligation to purchase anything. While listening to the representative he stated that the trip is all inclusive but you have to pay for the airfare and taxes that come with the stay.

The representative stated that the stainless steel cookware was 7-layers of different types of metel to make for better cooking and we received free food for the demonstration of the cookware.

After the demonstration we received a pamphlet for Integra Marketing Group, Inc. that sponsers the all inclusive vacation and was told to send in a reservation validation form.

My fiance and I decided to purchase a Completer Set for $1545 plus tax but we wouldn't get a discount if we didn't purchase it that day. I told that representative that I have to check my finances to make sure I can afford it because getting married isn't cheap if you want more than a courthouse wedding. I told him that I would put a $50.00 Check down on the purchase and then beable to make monthly payment starting in April.

After doing research of my finances and coming to the conclusion that I can't afford the product at this time, I called the company to cancel my order because the contract stated that I have 3 business days to cancel my transaction. I called at 12:15PM on January 29, 2007 and "Sue" had stated, "you need to talk to Stephanie who is out to lunch right now but I can take your name and number and she will get back to you after lunch." I gave my information and at 1:30PM I called again and Sue had told me that Stephanie is a busy lady and will get back to you by the end of the day.

Now I am still waiting to hear back from the company.
Should I cancel my check or wait for contact from Stephanie?

I work for Simplicity Gourmet in the customer service Department.  I am surprised you posted a rip off report after leaving a message 1 hour previous to the post to cancel your order.  I would say that is hardly enough time to allow a company to show you they will call you back, etc.  We always return calls within 24 business hours (but usually must sooner than that).

I assume your order was indeed cancelled for you as you requested.  Please update your post to reflect this.  If you have any questions, please call us at 1-866-897-7676.
