I was looking for a dropshipper to add products to my web site. I came accross Simplx.com. I read all there was on their web site. They lead people to believe there is only a $19.95 charge for an application fee. I signed up for it and paid the fee being led to believe there would be no other fees. I was told after I signed up that a representitive would contact me to set everything up.

After several days I received an email from someone named James (no last name) with a phone number (801-491-4054 ext.100). I called the number and got a menu to choose from, I entered the 100 ext. and it said there was no such extension, so I pressed "O" for the operator to transfer me, Then it took me to a voice mail. I left a message for them to call me. They never did. I left more messages.

The next day (today, 7-11-08) I found another number to call on their web site. After sending numerous emails to resolve this issue, and finally got hold of a lady in their billing office named Carlie. I explained the situation to her and she was very helpful, she managed to transfer me over to a man named "John". He had no idea who I was after giving him my information he asked for. He started telling me that the $19.95 was no more that an application fee that there were several plans that I would have to select from. Anywhere from $500.00 to $4000.00 plus $35.00 a month. I explained to him if I had $4000.00 to invest I wouldn't need them. I would just go ahead and buy the products wholesale myself and carry my own stock. He said I couldn't buy wholesale that I don't know what wholesale is.

I cut him off right there and told him that I wanted to cancel and wanted my $19.95 refunded to me. He said no they don't refund that money. That was the end of the conversation. I hung up.

The deception lies in their website. Nowhere on their site does it state that there are plans to select from that costs extra money. I wouldn't have applied to them if I had known that. I have been to other dropshipper sites that explain everything up front. This is why I chose to go with Simplx.com because they led me to believe there were no other charges. It's not the $19.95 that I lost. It's the $19.95 that hundreds of other people like myself pay and they get away with.

Deceptions like this need to be stopped. There should be a full disclosure of their costs up front on their site so that everyone reading it is fully aware of all costs involved and not be informed of it after they pay their $19.95.

Simplx.com has been in business for over six years, and strives to provide the best dropshipping service possible. With this in mind, we will address each of the complaints/accusations in the order this individual has stated. Simplx values, respects, and cares about each customer who chooses to apply or purchase our services.

Because our service requires the customer to work and have access to several resources in order for it to be used properly, we require customers to fill out an application, which is reviewed before any customer can sign-up. Simplx does not want to sell our services to any customer which cannot utilize them.

We receive several hundred applications each day, and in order to separate those who are legitimately interested, versus those who are just seeking information, we provide an application fee for those who are legitimately interested. Our application fee is optional, meaning we do not require the application fee in order to fill out the first two pages of the application. Only customers who are legitimately interested should apply and pay the application fee.

This customer expected immediate access to our service by paying the application fee, but no where on our application or on the payment page does it state that the customer would be received such a service. The exact words on the application fee payment page are as follows:

Because of the number of applications we receive each day, we have recently implemented a non-refundable $19.95 application fee. Application fee includes 30 day review of Simplx program information and additional benefits.

As stated in the information above, the application fee goes to pay for a review of the Simplx program. Additional benefits include a rushed application. We are unclear why the customer expected to receive an account after paying the application fee, because it is never stated on the Simplx website or in the terms of the application fee that an account would be provided upon payment of the application fee. The customer claims they demanded a refund over the phone, but based upon the information listed above, the application fee is non-refundable, and Simplx followed the policy which is stated clearly on the application payment page.

We cannot confirm the information which is stated concerning the phone call, but we can confirm that Simplx provided the services which were promised on the site and on the application. The application promises contact from a representative, which the customer states they received. The customer did not agree with our pricing model, and that is fine, the customer is not forced to purchase anything from our company. Again, Simplx clearly states that the $19.95 application fee goes to only pay for the application, not for an account. Simplx provided full disclosure of this cost before the customer paid the $19.95 application fee, and the customer agreed to the terms of this fee before submitting their billing information.

Again, Simplx wants to provide the services or products which are promised, and is not trying to rip off any customers. Simplx values, respects, and cares about each customer and is not trying to scam any customer out of their money. Because we care about each customer, we encourage customers to provide feedback on their experience with Simplx. Customers can know that any feedback or complaints they would like to send to Simplx can be done so via email at Feedback@Simplx.com Simplx can usually provide responses to any complaints within 1 business day to any customer who submits a complaint at this email address. We are confident we can resolve your concern or complaint, even if we need to provide free products or services to do so.

Sincerely,
