Complaint Review: Simply Austin Furniture

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! They are criminals and have stole over $1,300 from me. We went in with the best intentions and fell in love with a sectional that was made by Coaster Furniture. We had it delivered and within a few days the stichting began coming apart.

We called and they apologized and sent another to us that was in better condition. After a few months, the same issues starting happening again and I went in to discuss options since I did not want another due to it obviously being a manufacturer defect. The owner, Whitney, told me that this was a known issue and they have since stopped carrying that particular manufacturers products. She also told me that they could not offer a refund, but a store credit and recommended a new manufacturer that they were working with (Rowe Furniture).

My wife and I spent time with the associate after thorough research on the manufacturer picking out colors and styles. They told us that it would take 4-6 weeks for it to be made and would be shipped directly to our house. 

After 6 weeks, we received nothing from the manufacturer. I have been calling (approximately 127 times) to both store locations, where they ave decided to screen and not answer our calls. After being ignored for some time, I called the manufacturer to see if there was a timing issue on their end, and they informed me there was no order for that model from Simply Austin.

I attempted to dispute the charges through my credit card company, but unfortunately, Simply Austin continues to play hard ball and is ignoring any attempts to be contacted regarding this manner. 

Shame on them for partaking in these types of practices and legal action will be taken. Please please do not give them any of your hard earned money as they do not respect their customers and are criminals.
