Sincere Singles Professional Introduction Service This company offered a dating introduction service promising "unlimited matches" for $599.00 plus taxes in Nov. 2011. Carlisle, Ontario Ontario
I signed a contract with this dating and introduction service in November 2011; they promised both lifetime membership, 2 year membeships and unlimited introductions. They were quick to cash my cheque for $676.87 (incl taxes) after a number of introductions in early 2012, by August to September 2012 I heard nothing further. By October 2012 I contacted the alleged new owner, Doug Pingle, apparently the original owner after it was operated by Liz Caven of Stratford for a number of years. He advised me then that he could not provide any further service since he had just assumed the operation fo the company and was sorting through all of the "member" files.
Further phone calls in November and December went unanswered. By January 2013 he advised that my "membership" could be "re-activated" if a paid a $100. fee. He argued that he was requiring this "in fairness to all of the members". Not sure what he meant by that except that it was perhaps a mass extortion. I advised him that I wanted to receive the service for the contract that was unfulfilled since November 2011. When I expressed in a telephone call my lack fo satisfaction with his attempt to scoop more money from paid up members, he advised me that if I did not pay up within 30 days my file would be shredded. He was not shy in using profanities about my lack of compliance with his demand for additional cash.
I contacted him in writing in February of 2013 expressing my lack of satisfaction with his lack of service and I requested a refund of the membership fee. He replied in writing and refused.
There is no point in contacting the Better Business Bureau as Sincere Singles Introduction Service is not registered with the BBB. They can't do anything to mediate a settlement if the company is not a member. During 2013 there were 3 unresolved BBB complaints against this company. I would not recommend using this company for any personal services based on the dishonest treatment that I received from this current owner.
