I'm writing in response to a letter from Maggie in West Orange, New Jersey, regarding the Singer laser storm.

At first I felt this wave of relief that there was someone else, that was immediately followed by the realization that what I had been trying so hard not to believe was just confirmed by what she wrote.

I knew that if it happened to somebody else, then more than likely it was a scam.
I ordered the Singer laser storm, and my debit card was charged on March 29 and I haven't heard a thing from the company.

When I call the number associated with that transaction on my bank statement, I never get an answer, no matter what time I call.

I went to my bank and was told that they can dispute it,but they asked me if I was told when I might receive it, I didn't remember so they said if it was 4 to 6 weeks, then we should give it one more week which would make it a total of 6 weeks.

I am so sick and tired of being ripped off or cheated one way or another. I can't afford this. So I want to do whatever it takes to resolve this. I also want to add that when I started getting suspicious, I remember thinking that Singer is a reputable company, they wouldn't scam people. Isn't this a federal offense? Either way I want my money back.

I recently had to go through the same thing. I ordered the vacuum on October 16th, 2005 but cancelled the very next day. However, $353.70 was still drafted out of my account!

Please try to contact a supervisor or CEO of the Corporate Igia Office (212) 575-0500. Tell the representative you are calling regarding the Laser Storm Vacuum order. It also helped me when I told them that I had recently found out that this "incredible offer" is actually a scam!

The imposed threat seemed to instill a sense of urgency. Hope this information is of some assistance.
