My sister and I went shopping in Sirens outlet in Coquitlam Centre, and they had signs up saying "ENTIRE STORE Buy 1 Get 1 Half Off!" And the small font read "on items equal or lesser value" Nothing else was written on this sign. The sales associates working then confirmed what was written on the sign by telling us that everything in the store was buy one get one half off. However, after paying for our items, we checked our receipt and found that we had paid full price for our items. We confronted the cashier, and she told us that the offer was only valid for regularly priced items. We then asked for a full refund on our items, to which she said she can only offer us store credit. We informed her that this was false advertising, and the cashier agreed with us, but said that she could not do anything about the signs. She refused to take the sign down, saying that only their marketing team that came in every so often had the authority to do so. We were very upset and walked out. I believe that stores should honour EVERY sign that they have up, even if it was a mistake.
