For those of you who are still enticed to subscribe to Sirius, despite all of the complaints about bogus charges and absurd continuing charges, coupled with uphill battles to receive any refunds, always try to use a credit card which has an expiration date 60 days prior to (or more) the end of the service period you intend to pay for, so any renewal of services can not be processed without your consent and after voluntarily updating your credit card info!  If you are still billed for a renewal more than 60 days in advance, just dispute the billing with your credit card company for premature billing without authorization, since the renewal is not yet even close to due!

You've probably already received many deceptive discounted offers for supposedly great deals for a short time period, before the very expensive renewal fees will kick in later.  These promotions come with enticements such as reactivation fees being waived, but buried within the fine print are vague disclaimers that the costs do not include other fees which you are supposed to be stupid enough to associate with necessary state taxes, etc.

when in reality the vague use of the word fees can be used to describe any cost or overhead Sirius chooses to charge you for, but often is described as royalty fees for example.  I don't care what royaty costs Sirius has to pay or whatever other overhead costs sirius incurs as a business, as long a sirius doesn't decieve me with an advertised price that doesn't actually include ALL COSTS and FEES (while I knowingly will be glad to pay any necessary state sales tax of course.)

So, until Sirius ceases deceptive advertising, I will never subscribe, not because I can not afford Sirius, but because I refuse to be scammed.  My radio works just fine without Sirius anyway, so it's their loss, not mine!!!
