I buy a really nice plug and play satellite radio with 60 minute memory and sign up for a year with SiriusXM satellite radio service. For the first few months in is fantastic! I would listen to the radio all day at work (I drive a truck for a living).

Then after 3.5 months the radio can't find the satellite antenna signal. After resetting the radio it works for a few hours and then stops again. After a few months of resetting it two to three times a day, it won't work at all. So I contact customer care at SiriusXM and they tell me that the radio I bought has had a lot of problems and has been discontinued -- wish I knew about this "before" I bought it.

They said it was on warranty and agree to send me a replacement radio. When the radio arrives it is a tiny, bare bones radio with no memory. I see them being sold on the Internet for only $20. Plus it won't work either (had to reset it a few times daily). They replace it again and it has same problem. Finally the third replacement radio works, but where's my $150 radio??

All of the above problems and at least 35 calls to the company over nine months is all over when they tell me that the radio is no longer on warranty and I need to purchase a new radio and sign up for another year to enjoy service.

Are you kidding?? I'm not going to go through this aggravation for another year. The customer service in this company is a big ripoff.

It was bad enough listening to the hundreds of commercials that they advertise they don't have. When Howard Stern says he is going to take a break, they play 20 minutes straight of commercials. Do they honestly think anyone is going to listen to this?? I just switch the channel and forget about the Howard Stern's commercial show.

Some of the stations are still commercial free. So when they say it is commercial free they are playing with your mind. It is a "play of words".

I miss the time when I first started with SirusXM, but don't want to ever deal with the lousy customer service again.

Hi Jeff -

We are sorry to hear about your experience with our radio and customer service. We would like the opportunity to change your experience around. Send us an email with your contact info to sxm_help@siriusxm.com and we'll be able to assist you there.

As for the commercials, you can enjoy almost all of our channels commercial-free. Just a few channels included in some packages have commercials, but those stations are marked for you in the channel lineup. Many of our sports, news, talk and entertainment channels carry limited amounts of commercials. Compare that to the 10-15 minutes of commercials the average AM/FM station airs every hour.

Thanks,
SiriusXM Digital Care Team
