From the start the work began after the contract date.We found "human" waste(urine and poop) in our garage in a bucket covered with a plastic bag and left over the weekend. No acountability, and yes we do have another bathroom in the house. There were no floor plans or drawings done, and, this would be explained to the city inspectors as putting the bathroom items back where they were. This is not a true statment. Nothing went back where it originally came from. After we failed a big inspection and a floor plan was requested by the city this was finally done. The next inspection no one from her company was here for it.

The other bathroom started having clogged issues(my husband corrected) because of items dropped down the drain (insulation, nails.) The one they where working on.This weent on for a good week. At some points we had no toilet access at all, yes, eveen over night. She offered to pay my husband-onder payed him a total of $100.00.

The nextr set of workers came in and needed to "borrow" items from day 1. Stating that theses items were not /forgotten from there trucks. They where suppose to show up one Saturday, and he did late- and work at our house and accross the street(side job)and we caught him using items for here at this side job. But he was taking our tools(my husbands) to do this job with no permission. My husband did an inventory of hiis tools to find $600.00 of his own tools gone.He wrote up a list and I gave it to her. Her response was I will replace them. Then it became we will all meet and discuss this. Then it became its not her responsibility.Remember that these are sub-contracted people thru her.

Needless to say there has been no conversation and or replacement of his tools. Nor have these 2 sub-contractors returned to our home. My husband has had to turn down 2 jobs/plumbing because he does not have his tools.

The latest news is that they plumbed the toilet to the hot water and it took them 1 week to come and correct this. The bathroom is not completed(lights, eletrical outlets, shower leaks.) The finish date has come and gone. There have been stretches of time with no work being done for various reasons(IRS to ??).

What can we do??? Help

I wanted to say something about Patricia's work and her character. I  met Patricia McElroy 3 years ago. I found her to be a very caring person. I have watched her go the extra mile to make her clients happy. She absolutely takes pride in her work. I reccommend her to other people because her work is outstanding. You will have to see her work to understand what I mean. I have an upcoming project in the works. I am eagerly looking forward to working with Patricia. I know she will exceed my expectations.

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sister's Construction have been in business for over 25 years and has a host of satisfied clients.  This is the only complaint ever filed against our company which were the result of a subcontractor hired for this site as the customer stated herself.  Although initially there were problems with the subcontractor, as soon as the problems were brought to my attention, I immediately released the subcontractor and brought on my own crew of 17 years to complete this job.

At no time did my staff or crew ever borrow any of our customers tools, as we are always well equipped and prepared when going on any job site.  Although there was a lot of chaos at our customer home, we successfully completed the job exceeding our customers satisfaction.

Our client had quite a bit of foot traffic in and out of her home throughout the entire project some of which were obvious under the influence of some element.  However, despite the work conditions, my crew who worked for me for 17 years were committed to seeing this job through completion.  During the years they have worked for me, I have never had any complaints about their performance or them stealing anything and they have always been reliable and trustworthy.

Again, although things may have gotten off to a bad start with the subcontractor, as even noted by the customer, I made certain that our work and companies reputation was upheld.  Thus, brought on my own crew to complete the job.  All permits were pulled and signed off and we exceeded the clients expectations.

Thank you,

Patricia McElroy/General Contractor
