I began service with Siteground.com a little over a year ago at the behest of a good friend of mine. Things were a bit rocky to begin with, but I was patient and worked through them. Over the year, I had many issues logging into my mail, cpanel and my website in general. Each with little or no changes to the website at all.

When it came time for service renewal two weeks ago, I had figured that transferring to another host would have been too much of a hassle, so I renewed service for two years, not aware that there would be no refunds or retractions of service.

Since renewal and payment of $118, I have had horrible access to my email and cpanel as well as almost non-accessible webmail. I have contacted technical services and their tickets state that there has been maintenance actions performed in the middle of the business day, and server outages due to emergency security updates. When asked why they had to do these things during the business day, I am told that my ISP is to blame or what I am doing is wrong. All responses from these people are condescending and rude.

I had finally suffered enough, so I contacted them to find out if I could get a refund for the renewal fees that were paid two weeks prior, and their answers were smug and NO. I made a transcript of the chat and have re-read it to my utter amazement. I am told that I cannot get a refund because I am more than 30 days past my INITIAL payment over a year ago, so basically, I am the idiot for renewing and I should just suck it up.

I cannot believe now that I am stuck using their services for two years or I am out $118 if I just cancel. They even wrote in their response on the billing ticket that they look forward to my date of cancellation!!!

These people are horrible and rest firmly on their 50,000 customer base as a reason to be rude and cheat the smaller person out of their hard earned money.

Beware of SITEGROUND.com!!!
