I posted an out of the way review for a business called Referrizer, and a few months later Sitejabber removed my review.  I was trying to warn the public in a very quiet manner that Referrizer hires you as an independent contractor, but then turns around and starts micromanaging you.  My review link:

Right away after posting my Referrizer review on Sitejabber  I received this message:

Thanks for your honest review.

We’ve received your review of Referrizer, thank you. We’ll email you as soon as your review is published, typically within 48 hours.

We’re sorry to hear about your bad experience, but other members will learn from your story. Our community depends on honest reviews like yours.

Then the following month I received this message from Sitejabber:

You have 302 views and counting!

Your review is getting attention!

302 other consumers have read your Referrizer review. AND you’ve earned 8 helpful votes, woot!

You’re just 1 review away from your next badge. Keep going!

Then I received another e-mail telling me about the activity on my review, and I went back to look only to find several brand new GREAT reviews written within a few days.  Andre Cvijovic, the owner of Referrizer reached out to me twice, and I responded to him, "Stop mis-classifying your employees."

Instead he chose to approach Sitejabber personally and to my chagrin my review is gone, but Referrizer's suddenly appearing sticky sweet, super duper, fantastic WOW reviews all written within a few days are still there.

Bottom line, Sitejabber doesn't play fair.  Perhaps they are breaking the law too by hiring people as IC's but then treating them like employees, I have no idea.  What I do know is the practice is illegal and I am sick and tired of having to change jobs because the employer is cheating the system in a big way and expecting me to foot the bill.  I'll stay far away from Sitejabber AND Referrizer, but at least I can have a way to get the word out to those who are interested via www.ripoffreport.com, one of the last few standing HONEST review sites still up on the internet.
