Just a quick note about my experience at Six Flags on Halloween. I spoke with the CSM who was a 17 or 18 year old girl and explained we got stuck SPINNING on Tony Hawk for a good 20 minutes. This made us both sick and unable to enjoy our evening. We had a simple request, upgrade our tickets to season passes so we can come back and spend more money the next night. She refused stating that it wasn't their fault that our evening was ruined and they were not going to compensate us for being stuck on a ride. I explained I didn't want any "compensation" I wanted what I paid nearly $150 for... a fun night. I told her my only other option was to take it up with my credit card company. She pulled my tickets and saw we got there at 8:45 and it was only 9:45. She said "you've been in the park for an hour already, as if that was supposed to matter.

I don't know, if I was asking too much, please by all means, someone say something. But the way I see it, I spent $150 on tickets, parking and haunted house passes that we didn't get to enjoy. Instead she wanted me to come back and pay $10 per ticket AND pay for the haunted house tickets all over again. I didn't even say anything about the haunted house tickets because that money goes to the Boy Scouts. But instead of us going back the next night and spending some money (and during Christmas and several times next year, easily spending a couple of thousand dollars in the process), we're not going back, period. All over a $30 upgrade on our tickets.

So lets see, they could have given me $60 (theoretically.. doesn't cost them anything if you think about it) or they could lose a couple of thousand (and countless more considering the years to come). Plus she agreed that I should dispute this with my credit card company And they wonder why their company is going bankrupt and they had to close down Astroworld.

$80 for the tickets to get in plus $50 for the haunted house tickets
plus valet parking $20= $150.

My cost for coming back the next day
$20 parking/ $50 haunted house tickets/$20 for the "discount tickets" they offered me.... $90

plus, gas isn't free (even though it's gone down thank God... 120 miles round trip in a Dodge Ram that gets 15 miles to the gallon)

I was actually asking for LESS than the cost of returning PLUS I was still willing to pay $20 for the parking ($40 because I would have bought a parking pass) and the haunted house tickets.

Simple economics. But what it's all about is customer service. Why would anyone pick having a pissed off customer vs. a happy one who will return multiple times a year? That's the question you should be asking.

Why do you feel the company owes you season passes when you didn't pay for them? I could understand asking for another one time ticket (seems like what you bought) which may or may not have been approved, but way over the line to expect season passes for the incident. Read the back of the tickets, you waive your rights to a lot of things when you go through the gate. I'm glad neither of you were hurt during you 20 minute ride, but to expect season passes for it is too much.
