Complaint Review: Skin Noir

Skin Noir Advertisement misleading, not clear. When called refused to credit. After insisting offered first 35%, then 50% (I got and account was cancelled) and last 75%. They tried to blame it on me not reading, said that a "trial" means it's a final sale. All reps tried to blame it all on me.  Santa Ana California

One even called me back and harrassed me with putting, again, the blame on me. Still in the process for full refund. I am very upset. Had never ordered anything like this on line and I fell on the trap. Asked for and address to return product and would not provide one.

I got an advertisement on my mail about the product SkinNoir, for a free trial product, stating that I would be charged only $4.95 for shipping and handling.  I understood that a sample of the product would be sent to me and that I would have the option to order any additional product.  I did not read any other instructions, ordered the product, which by the way, before checking out other offers appeared for eyes, etc, which I declined, because I was not ready to spend any money.

I received the product, which I started using and so far it has not caused any allegies (which usually happens to me) but I needed to wait and try it for longer period of time.

Suddenly, I see a charge for $89.95 on my bank account.  I inmediatelly called SkinNoir to dispute this amount.  Oh boy! I got all the blame of not reading the instructions, that I authorized the charge, that it was a trial which it does not mean it was a free product, that the $4.95 was charged ahead as a shipping charge and that after 14 days I would be charged for the product itself, etc.  I told them I did not remember seeing anything about being charged that amount of money, which I would have never authorized, not even tried the product, because I WOULD NEVER buy a product for that amount of money.

I went back into the website and of course, in very small letters it gives an explanation that I think is very misleading.  It does not mention a further charge of $89.95 nor that the product is a final sale, to which the representative said, that a try out product means it cannot be returned...really!!  I asked if I could return the product and get a full return to which they said it was a final sale, that the product was already openned and used to which I said I had to be crazy to think I could pay $89.95 to try out a product.

The first representative offered me a 35% refund at first, then a 50% when I said I would write a letter to the Better Business Bureau and CEO of Skin Noir.  They credited the 50% and cancelled any further charges or products.  However, after reading on this website that they are a ripp off, I got very upset and called back.  After I insisted on returning the product and getting full refund, the rep continued to give me a hard time.  I said no thank you, that I would write letters to them, my bank and the BBB and hanged up.  The representative offered that speak to a supervisor with I refused, I was done talking.  They were horrible, and the same representative called me back to harrass me and put the blame on me, again and to offer an extra 25% credit.  I refused because it was more clear to me that this was a total scam, ripp off and pursposely false advertisement.  We work hard for our money and I want a full credit.  Still in the process of getting it.
