SkinFix Spa, Owners: Trina Briggs and Jon Kidd SkinFix Spa in Westfield, Indiana * Scams it's Employees and Customers. * Westfield Indiana
SkinFix Spa in Westfield, IN seemed like a nice place with decent owners, Trina Briggs and Jon Kidd, but I should have known something was wrong afer the first time I arrived and the door was wide open, yet no one was there to answer as I called out, "hello". This was not an uncommon occurrence, so I've heard at the SkinFix Spa. I've spoken to numerous customoers who had been deceived by Trina and Jon before. They customers would purchase groupon packages and then NEVER be able to actually get to use the coupons for their services. What was even worse was that the customers would actually make appointments 1, 2, and even 3 times, only to have showed up and no one be at the spa, or have their appointments cancelled a few moments before via text message, etc. One lady even had her appointment cancelled via email, while she was sitting in the waiting room. It was the third she that her appointment had been cancelled in a month. She had yet to use the groupon that she purchased.
To make matters worse, they didn't treat their employees much better. They hired a few new employees because their last two aestheticians walked out, literally. The new aestheticians were there alone running the spa within days, dealing with all the drama that the owners had created with their customers and at that time they didn't know what they had gotten themselves into. They made unkept promises to their new employees regarding benefits and payment, just the same as they made promises to their customers to make things right. They never contacted their staff again after Thanksgiving Break and all clients were cancelled, although not all were notified because several still showed up for appointments. The employees contacted Trina and Jon on a daily basis to find out what was going on and regarding their checks and never recieved an answer. One of the employees was blocked from Trina on FB when she reached out to her, asking if she could "please take a moment to communicate".
They recently posted another groupon for services even though Skinfix is not currently open, as we know, and they have not fulfilled the services of the previous groupons owed to customers and they owe over 120 hours of payments plus commissions for sales and tips that customers paid to the aestheticians via charge charge to their employees. If you have any information regarding Trina Briggs and or Jon Kidd that would help or add to this case, please post. I advice not purchasing a groupon for Skinfix, you will not get to use it. If you have one currently, please contact groupon directly. I am certain, they are having groupon eat the expense. Crooks!
Thank you!

I am agreeing with everyone who has written a comment on this site!! I was a former Aesthetician who did WALK OUT. I just couldn't take it anymore..Lieing, stealing, etc. I am owed hundered of dollars myself and will never see it. If you go under...www.mycase.com/indiana and go under Hamilton County Civil cases, you can search by Jon Kidd and get his address etc.
He and Trina owe money and damages to the landlord that will probably never be paid either. I do apologize to the clients who I walked away from but I could no longer work for a company who lied and treated their clients so poorly. Jon was also performing VelaShape services on clients without an Aesthetician License and I did report him to the Cosmetology Board. I hope that this information does help you all! Again, I am sorry and I know that they did you dirty!

My name is Vikki Kordel . owed $300.00 or more from Skin Fix Spa and I have repeatedlly tried to contact them since late Nov. I am contacting a lawyer and I would like any information I can use in my effort to recover losses. They should not be allowed to get away with this. I have filed a report with Ripoff and written to every website that is advertising for them as well as called Groupon and posted on Facebook. I will do all that I can to settle this. Would like to get a class action if possible. These people are criminals and need to be arrested. I tried to resolve this with them by calling and emailing and messaging and have been polite and patient but I am done with that method. If you have advice or information please post that here so others can be helped as well.
File your own Ripoff Report! Once there are enough Ripoff Reports posted maybe an attorney will be interested in suing for all those who have been allegedly victimized. Ripoff Report says any attorney can make arrangements with them to email everyone.
Thank you.

I have been a happy customer of SkinFix for at least a year. All of my experiences were wonderful. I always had appointments with the same girl. She was exceptional. I did have a few appointments cancelled due to the "machine" I was scheduled for being under repair. I did pay a lot for a service that had unlimited number of appts for a year which I am only about 6 months in to. I had also purchased packages of microderms that were unused. I am very disappointed about the sudden closing. Jon, the owner did contact me after "******* had walked out" to tell me that he was sorry for the inconvience and that they were hiring new workers and that he would get back with me about rescheduling. He never did. I did try to contact him, but he did not respond. I found out on my own by driving to the spa that they had closed. To "That One Girl": If you are ******* please contact me. I think you know who I am....if not, Vela Shape! (should give it away). I really need to talk to you. Thanks!

Addressing The SkinFix Issue

To whomever wrote the aforementioned "rip off report":
I am one of the said employees "that walked out".. I'm so sorry if that's what you were told, however that is NOT the case. I became aware of SkinFix's "scams" and antics and decided to walk away WITH more than two weeks notice. They were no longer giving me paychecks, giving me comission, lying to clients and employee's alike. They are horrible at running a business and cowards and on THEIR behalf, I sincerely apologize because I respect my clients more than anything.. however I had to set the record straight and make you aware that the lack of paychecks, lack of communications, cancellation of apointments is nothing new. I feel sorry for those "new employees" but it is nothing that I didn't endure for months on end either.. They need to be glad that they cut their losses when they did and file a suit with the DOL. I could not have reached out for legal purposes, but I hope all of my former clients realize that this is a SkinFix issue and that I did everything I could to rectify it.

the correct names of the owners are Trina Byers and Jon Kidd
They have not paid their employees & they stoled their employees tips.
They have not provided services to customers who paid for services, thus stealing money from customers upfront for prepaid services.
They sold 470 groupons in December 2013 for services that they do not anticipate providing to customers, they are not open and are lying to customers telling them that they are over booked with clients while the wife (Trina, who is not even Jon's wife is in the hospital...no one has ever witnessed her with an illness or at a hosital) - they are stealing money from groupon and new clients.
