Skiwirentals.com Owner called me a f*cker and a pr*ck because I wanted to upgrade my jet ski Henderson Nevada

On Sunday June 22 2008 Me, my Wie and my Mother wanted to try out jet skiing. So we decided to go with Skiwi in Henderson, NV and since its very close to the lake it looked great. I booked my jet ski online and showed up the next day with my jeep and a smile on my face ready to hit the water. The Two owners from New Zeeland Seamed very kind at this point and I was exited to go.

Now Just like any other rental you have to do a "walk through" pointing out the scratches and dings so if you make any new ones they take it out of your deposit, that's fine. But as I have learned, previous scratches sometimes get overlooked and you get charged. so what I do now is video the whole inspection. every single part of any car, boat, 4 wheeler, or jet ski. so I have evidence in case they try to charge me for something that they might have missed in a previous inspection. The guys where fine with that.

They told us we had to get gas about a mile down the road and then we where set.

We arrived at the gas station and noticed two guys we saw at skiwi rentals filling up their jet skis that they had just rented right before us and there jet skis looked much nicer. I got out of my Jeep an asked one of them. Hey, have you rented that one before? he said," yes, its a lot more comfortable and faster than the one you guys rented" so before I filled up the tank I called up Skiwi and asked if they had any of this "bigger and better" model jet ski left. They told me they did and if would not be any problem to exchange it and I pay the increased price.

So I drive back to skiwi and the owner Todd I think his name is. looks very aggregated when I pull up. He wont look at me or say a word to me. I finally say ." thanks a lot, I think ill like this one much better" he then tells me " where did you hear about us". I tell him" on your website". He says" then you should have known that you ordered the slower model and I don't know why you did that if you wanted a better model". I told him I knew nothing about jet skis and they all look the same to me but the guys at the gas station told me this model is much better. He shakes his head in disgust ad says" it says right on the website that this model is the Cadillac of jet skis" and you ordered the Geo, I just don't get why you wouldn't look up this information before you booked your reservation". I was surprised to say the least at what I was hearing. This is not how your supposed to treat customers. and besides the "better model" cost me another $150.

I end the conversation right there because I want to get to the water and off we go.

While I'm out enjoying my day on the water. I remember the way I was treated a the rental store and wondering why he treated me this way. so I decided that when I returned the jet ski I was going to ask him why he was so harsh about the situation.

So we return and there he is . I walk up to him and say " I had a great time thanks a lot",. While he is doing the inspection I follow with my camera as I usually do so if he points out a scratch I can compare it to my previous tape. While I'm doing this I say" There is one thing that I wanted to talk to you about though".

"yes" he says. I say "earlier when I wanted to upgrade my jet ski you where a little harsh on me " and that's when it really hit the fan. I mean, that's literally all it took!

He immediately said " you have got to be f*cking kidding me, is this a f*cking joke. You paranoid f*cker. First you come in here with your camera filming sh*t, that makes me think your going to break something you paranoid f*ck! Shouting at the top of his lungs while I stand there in total shock at what's going on. I then started to say to him. "Sir all I wanted to tell you is that" and bam another explosion of foul language. He says to me " Your a paranoid f*ck, why are you filming this sh*t unless your planning to do something to it, I cant believe your accusing me being harsh on you when your in here taking f*cking photographs and videos like some kind of paranoid f*ck"

I guess that's his favorite saying.
I remained extremely calm the entire time while he ranted and cursed back to the trailer where he had to give me back a $400 deposit because there was nothing wrong with the jet ski. The foul language continued. He verbally abused me and my since of pride repeatedly telling me that a real man wouldn't video things and they just would trust people and that its people like me in this world that make it hard for people to trust other people.
I really cant describe how this man made me feel in front of my wife and mother. On one hand I could have gotten violent. But violence will not get anyone anywhere.

On the other hand I submit this letter to as many people as I can and let then know that Skiwi located online at skiwirentals.com and in Henderson, Nevada 2310 E Lake Mead Parkway 89015 Phone number 702-568-8999 Is a business that needs to be taken care of for the sake of Clark County and the Great people on this City who do not deserve business like this one. Lets get locals to run local businesses so we wont have to take this abuse anymore.
