Dealing with these unethical people has already cost me so much time and frustration I was hoping to save other business professionals the same horrendous experience. Apparently they do not even bother to check their themes for errors before selling them to their customers for $40 each. I purchased their Coffee Pro theme in March (18th) after finding their site from the WordPress ‘Themes’ page because I mistakenly thought that if you pay a professional company for an upgraded theme, you're more likely to have better design and coding. I was going for a quality theme with a solid structure I could build upon and customize for my new business. Unfortunately, once I downloaded the theme I discovered it did not even contain an install file. When I asked SKTThemes about this, they did not even apologize for the shoddy build and told me I was NOT getting a refund since I had already agreed to that in their fine print when I agreed to purchase their product; but they offered to get my personal information (which would have allowed them access to all of my client's private business website information) and just install it themselves. I was not willing to do that since I must protect client information and ended up fixing it myself.

Fast forward to me getting time to complete the customization for my site in the Coffee Pro theme and now that is not happening because it's so buggy and poorly written, you CAN'T. I checked it with Theme Check (that I downloaded from the WP site), and there are so many essential missing files I am not willing to spend time to try and fix it myself nor should I have to. I sent SKTThemes a copy of the errors and I hope they will do the right thing and simply refund my money this time. I seriously doubt that will happen given the last few emails and their obviously indifference to selling a quality product, let alone having a decent customer refund policy when their product is unusable. I tried to warn other potential customers on the WordPress site, but they stated they could not post such subjects, (I guess they are also making money off the SKTThemes fraudulent business in some way or they would care more about associating with fraudsters?) Actually, I went back and looked on the SKTThemes site and they have now changed the same exact theme to the name Coffee Shop instead of Coffee Pro - most likely to avoid future customers finding bad reviews. If this guy would put half as much energy into simply providing the product he promises from the start instead of cheating people and providing a horrible product, he would make twice the money he is making committing fraud! So...all of that being said-. Buyer Beware with these people. Here are the sites to avoid purchasing from if you value your time and money: sktthemes.net and shrikrishnatechnologies.com

For the record, I never even bothered to download the replacement theme Shri sent me instead of the refund I had requested and really needed to get going with my project. During the process of dealing with Shri and looking for a way to let other unwary customers in on what a ripoff his service can be, I met a fellow professional who was also scammed and treated rudely by Shri, founder of SKTThemes.net.

After checking out the tip given me by this helpful professional, it turns out he was on to something really great - X Theme by Theme.co (theme.co/x/?gclid=CjwKEAjw86e4BRCnzuWGlpjLoUcSJACaHG55dHkddRCqphaS8uX5BMP7LovtDnspO10gJBiKOEXC0BoC7Cfw_wcB). That's why I haven't wasted any more time with Shri to even try his 'replacement' theme. He had already cost me way more than the $39 I spent with his company.

For me it's worth the $25 more to plug into a clean, well-written theme with amazing support and resources. They have awesome direct support from their main website and people have gotten so enthused about using X Theme that they started an independent Facebook group that has top notch members that are quite fun and intelligent, as well helpful and eager to share ideas with others. Cornerstone is the high-caliber front end pagebuilder included wth the cost of X Theme and it has all the bells and whistles to go from a simple blog to an advanced eCommerce site. I am in website Nirvana! Thanks so much to Ian and the cool folks in the x Theme Users Group on FB: facebook.com/groups/xthemeusers/

How interesting:

I have tried time and again to get the point across to Shri that I am a busy professional, however, when things are not completed on HIS time or done the way he wants them to be, he reveals his true character once again. Note: During the weeks I have had to deal with him Shri usually takes his time getting back to me, but I am expected to immediately react to his request to get the honest bad review information off the web.

What he doesn't know is that my best friend/roommate and I are dealing with a grandbaby who has just had brain surgery, a sick animal, health issues and a TON of work since we have a business run with integrity. I simply did not have the TIME to jump back online the moment he asked me to "remove" or amend my reviews.

I was actually going to update my review information to include the fact that he had apologized and sent me a different theme once I got to a stopping place in my own work (work I am completely behind on because of buying his product) during lunch today, however, before I could get to it - I found his nasty reply on here...so why should I pretend he is not who he is? Here is the truth about this matter revealed through our most recent emails:

Dear Shri,

We last spoke on March 18th after I had purchased and uploaded your Coffee Pro theme and then had a great deal of difficulty installing it because there was no install file. You asked for my personal login information so you could install it instead and refused a refund because you stated I had agreed to your fine print. I thought okay - I will work with this since I do not want to waste $40, however, this theme is so poorly built I am unable to use it for my business. After I realized it didn't even have an install file and I ended up having to build one myself, I thought it would be wise to check the theme before using it. I used "Theme Check" from the WordPress site and here are the results. I am amazed you are charging people for this kind of shoddy work. You may think it's no big deal, but because you have cost me so much time and caused so much frustration with your poor product and horrible customer service and policies, I am now willing to spend my valuable time making sure to warn other customers about your company. I am very good at social media management and I am going to let everyone I know associated with the internet about this scam if you don't give me my money back. Believe me, you will not be pleased because I am going to start with the Word Press site where you are selling this horrible quality of product. I am doing you a favor to show you all of the errors in this theme you simply did not bother to check for yourself before selling it online to professional customers. If you want to remain viable as a company in the global economy you will have to raise your functioning as a business. Ripping people off one time each will come back to bite you more than you think. Those people all know other people in the business and word of mouth and reviews can kill a business. I hope you will take this more seriously this time and refund my money, fix this theme and be more conscientious with your other customers from now on. Please let me know if you are going to do the right thing and I will make arrangements to give you my PayPal info so you can refund my $40. Unfortunately, I cannot get back all of the time this has cost me in my own business, however, I will take it as a lesson learned and be much more careful in the future.

    Hello Shri,

This is not about the $40 you owe me after selling me a very poorly built WP theme. It is way more than that to me and you are lucky that I have taken valuable time from my busy schedule to inform and teach you about a few things. I have thoroughly checked out your reputation and web presence on several forums, including WordPress, LinkedIn, Facebook, WooCommerce, OnlineBusiness Reef, DigitalPoint, and RipOffReport - just to name a few... and I am not going to do any further business with you at all after reading so many complaints like mine. Are you not concerned that your attitude and business practices are giving you a bad reputation online? I realize you are young from viewing your picture, and you are from a different culture than I am…but INTEGRITY IS INTEGRITY anywhere in the entire world. In case you do not understand what that word means or what I am talking about in the least, I will give you the definition:

    in·teg·ri·ty
    inˈteɡrədē/
    noun

    1. 1
the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
"he is known to be a man of integrity"
synonyms: honestyprobityrectitudehonor, good character, principle(s), ethics, morals, righteousnessmoralityvirtuedecency, fairness, scrupulousness, sinceritytruthfulness, trustworthiness
      "I never doubted his integrity"

I am 50 years old, Shri. I am not some stupid American who will blindly throw money at a problem just because I can. I am not the average person you run across who will just fall into your trap like some blind sheep. I am awake and aware of what is going on in my life, my business and the world around me and I choose whom I associate with carefully because I learned the hard way how important it is to surround myself only with ethical, authentic people. I do the same when it comes to the people I meet from all over the world. I don’t have to shake their hand in person to know whom I am dealing with because they will make themselves and their principles known...as you have over the past years on the internet. I have known other men from India with your attitude of arrogance and superiority towards their customers - and they have all been technical assistants of some sort who forget they are NOT the center of the Universe and that they would not be making a living wage if it wasn’t for the customer they are treating with disrespect. What smart man would do that? I have also known men from India with INTEGRITY…one of my favorites was my college algebra professor and he was brilliant and kind and honest.

My point is not that you are from India, it is that I hope you will stop and think about how you are interacting with people in this world. You have the greatest opportunity to make a positive difference with people and to create and spread happiness and joy to others by treating them with dignity and respect and helping them fulfill their own dreams by building QUALITY websites. Instead, you seem to be stuck in small-minded and greedy thinking with little regard for how this affects your customers. This WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK TO BITE YOU. There is no doubt. YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW. I have seen it time and time again. Your business policy of never refunding people when they are unhappy has already cost you way more money than you realize. For example: My business partner and I literally know hundreds of creatives who often need web services for their endeavors…they trust and listen to us and take our advice - and even pass it on to all of the people they know. You have literally lost THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars just from my income channel because you:

      1. Sold me a shabby product in the first place instead of designing a quality theme.

      2. Refused to refund me when it was unusable due to very poor design.

      3. Maintain the attitude that it is everyone else’s fault when you are confronted about your business practices, (you have done this numerous times online on different sites), and have barely concealed your attitude of entitlement with me in our communications. Here’s one more definition you may want to check out because I see this very clearly in your behavior:

      en·ti·tle·ment
      inˈtīdlmənt,enˈtīdlmənt/
      noun

      1. the fact of having a right to something.
"full entitlement to fees and maintenance should be offered"
        synonyms: rightprerogativeclaimMore

        • the amount to which a person has a right.
          "annual leave entitlement"
          synonyms: rightprerogativeclaimMore

        • the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.
"no wonder your kids have a sense of entitlement"

The part that is underlined above is how you are coming off to other business professionals of high caliber. That is not a good thing for you or the other people in your company. I’m sure they are depending on you to look out for their welfare as well as your own and you are doing them and their families a grave disservice by being an unethical businessman at this time.

Incidentally, the GoDaddy account was not wrong twice on my end…only once. I know this because not only do I remember it, I have every single email communication you and I exchanged. Besides, I should not have to give you access to sensitive client information to simply install a WP theme! The fact that you have to do this so often for your customers should be a red flag for you. As an experienced customer, it tells me that you and your designers are not producing quality work that can be easily downloaded. I would know since I had the same unhappy experience with your Coffee Pro theme - (now renamed Coffee Shop on your website) - which did not even HAVE an install file when I downloaded it! I had to add my own installation file just to upload that poorly made theme.

*** Okay, I know this is a lot to take in so I will stop here for now. The bottom line is that you owe me a $40 theme (and more since you have cost me so much time on my current project) since the Coffee Pro theme is unable and you refuse to give refunds like a normal professional business. Since you are offering the Complete Pro theme, I will accept your offer and at least check it out since I am not going to get my money back as I have requested. Please get that to me asap. ****

As for you and your business, I hope you will put your ego aside and look at the valuable truth I am giving you as a gift. As an older person I have experienced many things and I have found it to be amazing the changes we can make in our own lives when we set our minds to it. I hope you will stop chasing the dollar in a greedy, unethical manner…and learn that if you do the next right thing for the right reason…you will possess more wealth, abundance and happiness than you will ever need. I hope you will try this. Keep me posted if you decide to change because I will be the first person to applaud your efforts!

          Best Regards,

Hmmm....the moral of the story here may be to simply DO THE RIGHT THING IN THE FIRST PLACE and STOP BLAMING YOUR CUSTOMERS EVERY TIME YOU ARE AN IMMATURE, UNPROFESSIONAL WHO RECEIVES JUSTIFIABLE COMPLAINTS AND REFUSES TO GIVE REFUNDS FOR SHODDY WORK. Good luck with that.

Offered different theme which was accepted

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, April 07, 2016

We offered Brooke Lee another theme which she accepted and is currently using as we understand and this topic has been resolved.

However after that she didn't comment back or emailed us back when we tried to ask her if she would like to remove the above complaint.

So basically you get the service and then you don't care about what happens to others because of your complaints.

I hope no other company gets clients like herself.
