Complaint Review: SKY MOVING AND STORAGE

Sky Moving and Storage is fraudulent despicable company. They quoted me less then 1,000 dollars to move my two bedroom unit from SC to FL. They loaded my belongings at 9pm and after that raised the price to almost $5,000!! They claimed the weights were higher then estimated then started tacking on storage fees, how many steps they walked, packing fees, etc. Once they had my belongings they held them hostage for 4 months!! I was unable to come up with 5K, cash only, after they seized my goods.

They were amused by this and worked meticulously at dodging every attempt by myself and two attorneys attempts to serve them with papers. They have about 10 different addresses and there website doesn't even have one for them! I made a mistake with a fraudulent company, don't you do the same. There BBB grade is a "D" and that is far more generous then they deserve. When moving always make sure the company comes and checks out what there moving, gives you a written estimate, explains every fee involved, and is rated well with the BBB. Save yourself and your family the disgust and aggravation of using a poorly run, fraudulent company like SKY MOVING AND STORAGE.
