SKY VIEW HOMES aka Scott Patrick Homes utilized and installed defective KITEC Plumbing through their subcontractor Big M Plumbing in their homes built during 2006 to 2007 in Mairiposa Rio Rancho after the KITEC plumbing components had been recalled by the manufacturuer IDEX (a Canadian Company) in 2005..  The life expectancy of the KITEC plumbing components is only about ten years but they can fail sooner..  The fittings tend to disintegrate due to dezincafication and the pipes have a tendancy to burst due to flimsy layer of aluminum within the pipes and after the fittings disintegrate and the pipes burst, water damage can be as much as $90K to $100K or more.. SKY View Homes and Scott Patrick Homes have denied any wrong doing and refused reimburse the victims of their negligence (average cost to re-pipe is around $40K to $50K depending on size of the house).
